Ah, balance…it’s truly the essence of life. Without it, things just don’t feel right. This same rule applies to our hair, as it does with just about anything! Try as we might to grow out our hair using oils and supplements and whatnot, the absolute best way to increase hair growth is striking the perfect protein moisture balance.
If not then take it here! You need to take the quiz to know which porosity you are, then you will know how much protein and moisture you need to achieve the seemingly elusive “protein – moisture balance”. Yesterday we went into the Top 5 Protein Ingredients for High Porosity Hair.
Guys, if you can get your hands on some vitamin E drops, that really will help with your hydration from the inside out and you will see the glow come into your skin. And of course your scalp is skin as well and the hair that’s growing out of your scalp also gets the benefits from the vitamin E.
A lot of people say, Oh, you can’t add moisture into your hair unless you add water. And I really do think that there is some truth to that because in order for you to have the vitamins and nutrients to really penetrate the hair you have to start with water first. You need to start with cleansing your hair with whichever method you choose or is best for your hair, porosity and hair type. Once you do that, the water will slightly raise your cuticles or which will allow for the good ingredients to enter into your hair. Of course, you might not need that so much if you are high porosity, but there is still something to be said about making sure that your hair is hydrated and drenched and then going in with other ingredients afterward.
Also, glycerin girl, if you have got hair that is a super kinky and doesn’t hold onto hydration all that well, I would highly recommend glycerin. I recommend this room for everyone, particularly if you’ve got 4c hair and your hair is also missing out on that moisture. Glycerin is the one for you also honey is the bomb and it acts very much in the same way as a banana word. I would say banana is fantastic. The moisture is pulled into your hair by the sugars that are present in the banana. It’s also rich in like a plethora of minerals and vitamins that are amazing for your hair and give great shine and help your hair to hold onto that moisture.
They also actually have a kit that is focused on moisture as well so you can bulk buy and it actually gives you some savings on the overall price of the items opposed to if you were to buy them separately. I recommend the #DEARBLACKGIRL Chebe Moisture kit, which has got of course Chebe, which we know locks in and attracts moisture into the hair. In sub-Saharan African parts of Africa they actually use Chebe and they live in really arid, really dry conditions and it helps them to maintain moisture. Along with Chebe, they also have the Guacamole Mask in there, which we know is hydrating and locks in moisture. Then you’ve got the Golden Sea Buckthorn Butter, which I have actually been loving. It really, really great for locking in moisture for twist-out and braid-outs during really harsh seasons. So if you’re looking at winter right now, if you’re looking at summer right now and your temperatures are quite extreme, I would highly recommend that.
